The Challenge 

As part of their brand identity the client wanted a coffee cup logo, a common café motif. It needed to feel unique to the brand and personal to stand out in a crowded market and attract loyal regulars.

The Approach

The design leaned into the name’s two ‘D’s, rotating and stacking them into a custom marque of two coffee cups, symbolising connection and conversation.

This shape doubled as a container for imagery, adding cohesion and personality. An autumnal, warming palette and friendly typography brought the “home away from home” vibe to life across print and digital.

Four logo variations and a flexible asset toolkit ensured consistent use on menus, signage, and social templates.

The toolkit enabled consistent branding across social, print, and in-store, boosting event sign-ups for open mic nights, afternoon teas and events, supporting two expansions as a community hub. It’s the staff that really make this business work.
